TROUBLESHOOTING YOUR REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM
PROBLEM: I JUST INSTALLED MY SYSTEM BUT IT IS NOT PRODUCING ANY WATER.
ANSWER: The most common reason why new systems do not produce water is that the installer forgot to install the flow restrictor. With our systems, the flow restrictor is a capillary tube. It looks like 18 inches of fishing line with a small red rubber cork at one end. This must be inserted into the 1/4" tubing going from the waste port of the membrane to the drain. Turn off the water, disconnect the tubing at the membrane end. remove the plastic insert (if any), and slide the capillary tube into the 1/4" plastic tubing. Then reconnect the nut to the membrane port.
